One of my favourite clients to work with during my time at Blue Ant Media was Jumpstart, primarily because I knew the work I was putting in would support a meaningful cause. The power of design is profound and has the ability to be a voice, especially for those who may not have one.
For Jumpstart's social content, my main task was to create a cohesive design that shifted away from their previous rugged aesthetic. The new focus was on highlighting the importance of accessibility in sports, whether that’s empowering girls in sports or promoting greater inclusivity overall. The social media posts I worked on included quotes, grant offers, and athlete features.
In addition to social posts, we were also tasked with creating content for Instagram Stories, informative reels, and reels that highlighted Jumpstart’s mission.
One of the challenges of designing for Jumpstart was ensuring that the designs worked in both languages. Often, we would create a post that was flexible enough to function in either English or French, while also preparing versions that featured both languages side by side.
